1. Services and planning

OzzSound will provide the wedding DJ, entertainment, sound, lighting and other services that are ultimately agreed in writing for the booking. Planning information supplied through the Wedding Builder may be updated by agreement before the wedding.

2. Booking and payment

A wedding is not confirmed until OzzSound has accepted the booking and any required booking payment has been received. Any booking payment, balance, due dates and cancellation conditions will be disclosed to the client before the booking is confirmed. Nothing in this agreement limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

3. Changes, cancellation and postponement

The client should notify OzzSound as soon as reasonably possible of changes, cancellation or postponement. Changes of date, venue, hours or services are subject to OzzSound availability and may change the agreed price. Any cancellation or postponement charge will be applied only in accordance with the agreed booking terms and applicable law.

4. Venue access, setup and pack-down

The client is responsible for providing accurate venue and access information and for ensuring OzzSound has reasonable access, setup space and access to suitable electrical power at the times agreed. The client should ensure the venue is aware that OzzSound requires setup and pack-down access before and after the entertainment period.

5. Venue permissions and special effects

The client is responsible for checking with the venue whether smoke, fog, haze, bubbles, lasers, strobes or other selected effects are permitted and for obtaining required venue approval. OzzSound must not be requested to disable, cover or interfere with fire alarms, smoke detectors or other safety systems. Where an agreed effect or item is supplied as booked but cannot be used because venue approval was not obtained or because of venue restrictions, the agreed charge for that item remains payable to the extent permitted by law.

6. Timings and overtime

Performance and service times will be those confirmed for the booking. Requests to extend beyond the agreed finish time are subject to OzzSound availability, venue restrictions and any additional charge disclosed and agreed at the time.

7. Music, requests and formalities

OzzSound will use reasonable efforts to follow the couple's agreed music preferences, must-play and do-not-play requests, key songs, introductions and timeline. The client is responsible for providing important final details with reasonable time before the wedding. Exact availability of a particular recording or version should be confirmed where it is essential to a formal moment.

8. Meals and breaks

Where the agreed wedding service spans a substantial meal/reception period, any requirement for a DJ meal will be confirmed as part of the booking arrangements. OzzSound may take reasonable short breaks where appropriate while maintaining the agreed entertainment service.

9. Safety and conduct

OzzSound may stop or modify equipment use or performance where reasonably necessary because of unsafe conditions, severe weather, electrical hazards, aggressive or abusive behaviour, venue directions or a risk to people or equipment. OzzSound will act reasonably having regard to the circumstances.

10. Outdoor events and weather

For outdoor services, the client must provide suitable weather protection and a safe, stable and dry operating area with appropriate power. OzzSound is not required to operate electrical equipment in unsafe weather or conditions.

11. Equipment failure and events outside reasonable control

OzzSound will take reasonable steps to maintain suitable equipment and deliver the agreed service. If equipment fails or circumstances outside either party's reasonable control materially affect the event, OzzSound will take reasonable steps to provide an alternative or minimise disruption where practicable. Any rights or remedies will remain subject to applicable law.

12. Photos, video and privacy

Personal information supplied for wedding planning will be handled in accordance with OzzSound's Privacy Policy. This agreement does not itself grant OzzSound permission to publish identifiable wedding photographs or video; any promotional-media permission should be obtained separately.

13. Liability and Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law. Each party remains responsible to the extent required by law.

14. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws applicable in Tasmania, Australia. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.
